What height means for a contour pillow
Every row here is a contour pillow with a price and a return term on file. Six of the seven rows name sleeping positions in the table: Tempur-Pedic and Bear back or side, Sidney Sleep and Sutera side and back, UTTU side, back and stomach, and Royal Therapy side, back and stomach. The Honeydew record holds no such cell.
Height is where the pages differ most, and two rows give figures: UTTU states a loft from 3.2 to 5.2 in, and Sidney Sleep lists a 7 in item height.
Honeydew, Bear, Royal Therapy, Sutera and Tempur-Pedic give no figure at all.
Five of the seven say how the height changes. Honeydew and Sidney Sleep let you add or remove fill, UTTU and Royal Therapy let you take out a middle layer, and Sutera lets you rotate the pillow 180 degrees. Bear and Tempur-Pedic state no adjustment, and Tempur-Pedic names only a firmness, extra firm.
This page reports shape and height as the makers state them. The pillow reviews hold the other pages, and the data page holds the ledger.
How we pick
A row is on this page when it is a contour pillow with a price and a return term on file, whether or not its record names a sleeping position. Rows whose sites refused a read or did not answer are listed under what was left out, with the reason for each.
The order is what it costs to send the pillow back, then the longest stated window, then the lowest price. A tie on the first two breaks on price. A row whose pages say too little goes in a second table, ordered by window and price.
The three picks above follow one rule each: cheapest return, lowest price among rows with stated terms, and lowest price on any terms. All prices were read on 2026-11-06. None of these makers pays us, and how we check and how we make money say how the page is kept.
Who should not buy a new pillow
Skip Tempur-Pedic if you may want a refund, because its page says pillows may not be returned. Skip Bear if you want the maker to pay the label, because its page puts return shipping on you.
Skip any of the four rows that do not say who pays if the cost of posting it back matters. Those are UTTU, Sidney Sleep, Royal Therapy and Sutera.
If you need a stated height, Honeydew, Bear, Royal Therapy, Tempur-Pedic and Sutera give no figure, so you would be buying without one. A pillow you can already adjust may need nothing new. Honeydew and Sidney Sleep sell adjustment by fill, so a pillow of yours that has the same feature is worth changing before you spend.
Left out, and why
- Cushion Lab Ergonomic Cervical Pillow: Its maker's site did not answer on 2026-11-06, so no price or terms are on file.
- Zamat NekGenic Neck and Shoulder Relaxer: A neck device, not a bed pillow.
Frequently asked questions
Can I return a Tempur-Pedic neck pillow?
No: the Tempur-Pedic page says pillows may not be returned because they are personal items. The TEMPUR-Neck Pillow is $114 on that page, so the price is the whole risk.
Who pays to send a contour pillow back?
Honeydew states free shipping both ways on the Essence Side Pillow, and Bear states return shipping is at the customer's expense. UTTU, Sidney Sleep, Royal Therapy and Sutera pages do not say who pays return shipping.
How high is a contour pillow?
Two of the seven rows state a figure. UTTU gives a loft from 3.2 to 5.2 in, and Sidney Sleep lists a 7 in item height on Amazon. The other five state none.
Which contour pillow has the longest trial?
Honeydew, at 60 nights on its own page. Bear, UTTU, Sidney Sleep, Royal Therapy and Sutera state 30 days or nights, and Tempur-Pedic takes no returns.
