Privacy

Updated 2026-11-06.

Sleep Clerk has no reader accounts, no forms and no newsletter. The data it handles is what a page view produces, and two services see it: Google Analytics, which measures how the site is read, and Cloudflare, which hosts it.

Google Analytics

Every page loads Google Analytics 4. Google's page on partner sites says your browser automatically sends Google the URL of the page you're visiting and your IP address, and that Google may use the IP address to identify your general location.

To tell visits apart, the tag sets two first-party cookies. Google's cookie table names them: _ga, used to distinguish users, and _ga_<container-id>, used to persist session state, each with a default expiration of 2 years. Google notes that Chrome caps such cookies at 400 days and Safari at 7 days when you don't return.

Hosting

Cloudflare serves every page, so each request your browser makes, your IP address included, reaches Cloudflare's servers. Cloudflare keeps logs of some requests, which we read only to fix errors.

Links to shops

A link to a merchant goes through a short address on this site and then to the merchant, and the click is counted in Google Analytics. Once you reach a merchant, its own privacy policy applies, and we do not see what you do there.

Opting out of Google Analytics

  1. Open Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on page.
  2. Install the add-on. Google makes it for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Edge.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, the law may give you the right to see, correct or delete the personal data a site holds about you, and to object to its use. To ask, write to hello@sleepclerk.com.
